A client of mine purchased this Hostbuilder script for a project for myself to finish. Let me first say this script looks like it will work great with the site. Here are some issues we are having.
1. After typing install.php in the address bar and filling in the blanks, I hit submit and get this:

Now before you ask, I have done installs and programming for years. Yes everything is chmod to 777.
So what it is doing next is supposed to write to the data/accounts.db . Well it doesn't and after viewing that file, it looks to be an old install information in there which is causing problems in the rest of the script.
2. I get this error after I viewed the data/accounts.db to look for the password of abc123 I can now log into the admin panel. But that also has errors -

If you notice, the (c:/php/hb190/members/) is showing up.
3. Now that I can log into the admin panel by accessing the accounts.db file i can change the parameters to what they need to be and the admin panel no longer has that issue.
4. In the admin panel, one is not able to view the last option since there is no scroll bar on the right. One has to click in the dead space and manually drag the mouse.
5. Clicking on anything in the general section of the admin panel gives this error and I am not about to view, edit,, suspend, or delete any users or accounts -

6. Under help and support, clicking on help is supposed to get information by using admin.php?p=help all it does is make another instance in the same browser window making the left panel show up twice.
7. Your readme file says to chmod everything to 777. Why would one give full permissions to all the database files, .htacess, dba.php, dbm.php, and pretty much anything in the /data folder. This seems very insecure and is just waiting for anybody to access it.
8. Your readme file is very limited as far as the installation goes, and with all those entries pointing the script in all the wrong directions makes it worse.
Please get in contact with me by email if possible. kalida_pc AT hotmail DOT com. Maybe we can talk some options as in the price paid or my help to fix some of the bugs.
Once these errors are fixed you WILL have a repeat customer. I have quite a few clients interested in a geocities/angelfire based website which means $$ - My way and $$- Yours also. Please let me know as I have less than 2 weeks to complete this project.

First of all the main issue, I've created a defrag script: -

When I check the log file it says it's completed but that it takes seconds to do so, also when logging into vault explorer it still says defragment recommended. Can someone take a look at my script and let me know if there's something wrong with it?
Onto the second problem, My backup script is working exactly how I want it too, I've also created a script to copy that backup to another PC which I am using as a backup vault in case the main one goes down. The problem though is that currently I am doing a manual restore. Is there a way to automate this process aswell?

Hi
I have read a lot on this forum about real estate scripts. I have looked into many ones before deciding. I did bought PG REAL ESTATE as it looked to be the best choice.
My bad experience is :
- never got the french version as supposed to.
- all made in tables
- this is totaly a DATING website that was transformed into real estate. (really, they even ask in profil if you are bisexual, go see their demo if you dont believe me)
- it is so wrongly made that when you remove a part of code, you need to go and do it in many places even for super simple things.
- even with the real estate script you still have dating codes in some places
- the way visitors can subscribed and pay is totaly dumb - still is it for dating people maded !
- the control panel is one-user-acces-only (that I can deal with even if not the best), and managing the site from there is totaly a mess again, super badly divided sections.
- working the templates is a big mess and they wont give you any documents on it because they want you to buy a affiliated-sold Monster template that they will modify for you and then ad to your site.
This script is based on the communications between members. You pay if you want to be allowed to chat another one (who cares). Seems impossible to create deals like : 1 ad with 1 photo = 0$. 5 ads with illimted photos = 20$. etc... wich is having x ads / x photos / x times diplay. This is not doable !!
Now, if someone here really as done something cool with PG, please let me know because every member here that I saw writing "good script" about it are probably PG workers...
Since I have bought thier biggest package, open source with add-ons at 1200$usd, my budget is f*cked now. Do you have any idea of a good solution to turn this situation around and either :
- start over with a super good Real estate script other than this one
- or hire someone who got to mabage this pgrealestate problems
